FED: 30 people killed on roads during national holiday toll

The national holiday road toll has hit 30 .. with the death of two people in central
Queensland early today.

Police say a truck and a car collided on the Bruce Highway near Marlborough .. killing
the male driver and female passenger in the car.

In Victoria .. one person is dead and three are in a serious condition after a two-car
smash on the Princes Highway west of Bairnsdale in East Gippsland this morning.

Nine people have died on New South Wales roads .. Victoria's recorded eight deaths
.. and Queensland seven.

South Australia .. Tasmania and Western Australia have each recorded two deaths on
the roads .. and there have been no deaths in the ACT ot the Northern Territory.
