BRISBANE, Feb 20 AAP - Once upon a time, Queensland election campaigns were a franticfour or five weeks of whizzing through shopping centres kissing babies, shaking handsand smiling for the cameras.
Peter Beattie has changed all that.
Political observers call it the "permanent campaign" - a mix of image-making and strategiccalculation that turns governing into a perpetual campaign.
